Yahoo Messenger - Free chat App Reviews

This " new and improved" app is terrible. Ive had to re-install several times. It keeps disconnecting and I m not seeing new messages when Im logged in. I have to log out and then they appear. Also messages being sent are lagging. Please fix this app or give the option of going back to the old one!

The new Yahoo Messenger is garbage. Do not download the new app. Keep the old one! The new app is confusing. You can not see whos on line. It freezes. Please bring back the old version. Stop trying to fix something that isnt broken. I am so frustrated with the new app. Everyone I have spoken to hates it too. HELP!!!

Wont startup, please revert the version of 4 years ago. This one is useless

If you download this and login to your old yahoo account you dont see any of your old friends. Its just like a brand new app. I dont see any my friend list . Useless

The new messenger is crap it uses your main mail address without asking to find out how to change it is difficult and all promo what new I cant find anything When you say no to address import it imports all your addresses anyway The old one was definitely better And the next good messenger died

Itd even be better if there were webcam feature.

- removed online presence. - removed contact lists. - removed contact groups. - removed voice calls. - removed video calls. No new features that are worth noting. Certainly not an upgrade. If you are trying to push users away you are doing a fantastic job!

I cant send since a few weeks ago

All my contacts my chat all of it is gone nothing there at all

You are forcing people to downgrade to a crappy messenger, cant sign in half the time contacts do not receive messages you have sent, basically if you talk to friends and family around the world do not bother with yahoo anymore it is total

A once proud messenger has fallen. Its absolute garbage now. Do yourself a favour, run away now and avoid downloading. Just walk away.

I liked the notification sound YAHOO. It was distinctive to the app. The current sound is horrible - no imagination whatsoever!! And cant be heard. Give us back that one distinctive notifications. sound "YAHOO".

You cant see options to show offline, you can see who is online. Its just the base template I hope and more improvements are coming. I dont know why they switched to this one at this point, it seems inferior to the previous version.

So far its working great but the ping to notify me if new message is not very loud. Wish I could change it to an audible that I can hear better and use too

Now I have no yim. Awesome. No notification, takes sometimes minutes to send a two letter response, no quick sign in/out... Shall I go on?
